Il titolo "How to repair your Zeitgeist" nasce dall'unione di due espressioni ricorrenti nella nostra cultura globale: "How to” e "Zeitgeist". L’espressione "How to" indica comunemente un tipo di contenuto o istruzioni che spiegano come svolgere un'attività o raggiungere un obiettivo specifico. D'altra parte, il termine "Zeitgeist", di origine tedesca, si riferisce allo "spirito del tempo" o al "clima culturale" di un periodo storico o una particolare cultura.
L’unione di questi due lemmi, rappresenta simbolicamente la leggerezza e la superficialità con cui la popolazione occidentale affronta temi fondamentali per il suo futuro. In un'epoca caratterizzata da un'enorme quantità di informazioni e mezzi di comunicazione, sempre più persone sembrano disinteressarsi o affrontare superficialmente questioni cruciali.
Il disinteresse e l’assenza di memoria, hanno contribuito a un risveglio del nazionalismo e dell'odio razziale nel mondo occidentale, alimentato da una politica di comunicazione aggressiva e manipolativa. Un politica che permette di utilizzare la comunicazione come arma, influenzando l'opinione pubblica e diffondendo messaggi di propaganda, fino a giustificare persino azioni militari e antidemocratiche.
Questo è il punto di partenza del brano, lo “Zeitgeist” da riparare.

The title "How to repair your Zeitgeist" arises from the combination of two recurring expressions in our global culture: "How to" and "Zeitgeist." The expression "How to" commonly indicates a type of content or instructions that explain how to perform an activity or achieve a specific goal. On the other hand, the term "Zeitgeist," of German origin, refers to the "spirit of the time" or the "cultural climate" of a historical period or a particular culture. The combination of these two terms symbolically represents the lightness and superficiality with which the Western population approaches fundamental issues for its future. In an era characterized by an enormous amount of information and means of communication, more and more people seem disinterested in or superficially address crucial matters. This disinterest and lack of memory have contributed to a resurgence of nationalism and racial hatred in the Western world, fuelled by an aggressive and manipulative communication policy. A policy that allows the use of communication as a weapon, influencing public opinion and spreading propaganda messages, to the point of justifying military and antidemocratic actions.
This is the starting point of the piece, the "Zeitgeist" to be repaired.
